The genre of the book is Mystery,murder,psychological thriller,crime. It is a 368 pages long book with a goodreads rating of 4.5 and bookstagram rating of 4. Definitely one of the best selling books.
Written by Alex Michaelides the book revolves around the story of Alicia Berenson ….It starts with Theo Faber a psychic therapist who is keen to learn and solve the mystery case of a women named Alicia who shot her husband six times in head and ever since that day she hasn’t spoken a word. All Theo wants to do is help her,why?!!! Will he be able to do so? Or will he get entangled in his own past?
My Thoughts-
Personally I am a big fan of psychological thrillers and Silent patient surely lived up to my expectations. When I first started reading the book I wasn’t quite impressed coz it was damn slow ,contained lot of unnecessary intro's( at least i felt they were) .
But after some chapters the story caught a certain pace and that was the moment I realized that there’s something mind boggling stored in for me and I was right ! the climax was just so astonishing. What surprised me was the second half of the book, kept me guessing what's gonna happen next .
The authors' writing is definitely commendable....great work!! If you are looking to get out of a reading slump or want to start reading,The silent patient is a good start. Anyways the book will definitely keep you hooked till the end. So make sure you read this book…
